A quick snapshot of the patio, sent to us from the owners.
Ready for a backyard bbq and maybe birthday cake...

Garden pathways
A big overhaul of the pathway to the front door.
There were old paths leading around the house, which were set at some strange angles, and didn't work with the flow of the garden. The client chose this particular stone, instead of interlocking pavers.

Back yard renovation
A few photo's of a back yard renovation. Almost finished.
Looking forwards to summer and taking some really nice pictures, with the lawn grown in, all the patio furniture in place, and a few more shrubs...
Destruction.
Construction.
BBQ and cold beverages.
Vineyard
Symphony Vineyard. New landscape around the new tasting room and winery.
The garden below the tasting room is a licensed picnic area, to have a simple meal and wine from the vineyard. Some evenings they are open late during the summer, and there might be a Jazz trio in the garden...
The vineyard is a great place to take some local guests !!

A new deer-proof trellis
We replace an old trellis, expanding it with a gate, and help make the inner yard more deer resistant.
Some after and before photos...
The new structure is built on concrete and rock work footings, with custom steel brackets.
No wood is in the ground, where rot can be the worst.
The old trellis was very old, and rotten, almost falling over.
The main walk to the front door was past the corner of the garage. The new path and gate go where the big Rhodo is in this picture. We transplanted the Rhodo to a nice new spot.
Below is the new entrance gate, and new pathway.
The iron gate is one the client purchased. Some of the trellis design is to match other garden structures on the property.

A new fence
A few pictures of the old fence and gate, and a few pictures of the new.
We also needed to re-build some portions of the rock retaining wall for the project.

Beach access
Getting down to the beach before this was "impossible".
Here are a few photographs of the journey back up to the top, from the beach.
It is a long way, about one hundred forty stairs, in several stages.
Standing on the beach.
In the upper corner of this photo (above) is a gate.
Below, a photo of the Allan Block stairs up through an existing gully. Also nice to change the materials for some variety.
The last photo is of the arrival at the top of the access, into the front yard.

Royal Bay - New sundeck.
I often forget to take "before" photographs.
Here are a couple, showing the old, rotten deck.
Picture two shows some of the real hidden problems that were found
Picture three is the new deck. We did dress up the lawn, but the seed hadn't grown in for the photograph yet. Also, we popped in a couple shrubs.

Pergola viewpoint.
A pergola at the highest point on the property.
A great view out over the ocean for those who venture to sit up there a while.

Stone Circle
A small slate and stone patio at a private residence, built to catch the last sun of the day.
Quite close to the house, but tucked into the garden.
In the distance, a glimpse of the Tori gate.
